Dyrhólaey is not so far away from Vík í Mýrdal in Iceland (more pics about Iceland). It is the massive rock arch of the Dyrhólaey peninsula which was a former island. During spring/summer time or nesting season Dyrhólaey has limited access. Dyrhólaey literally means “the hill island with the door hole”. The upper part has a spectacular historic lighthouse and wealth of birdlife.

Dyrhólaey nincs messze Vík í Mýrdal-tól. Egy masszív kőszikla Dyrhólaey félszigeten, amely korábban sziget volt. A tavaszi-nyári időszak alatt fészkelőhely, ezért korlátozott a látogathatósága.
