The Orla Perć (Sas-út) can be considered one of the greatest challenge and in the meanwhile in the most spectacular marked hiking trail in High Tatras in southern Poland.
The Eagle’s Path (Sas-út) is considered one of the best known, most difficult and most dangerous marked hiking trails in the whole Tatras, therefore it is recommended only for experienced hikers and climbers, familiar with rocky, exposed terrain. Sas-út -wiki
Since its creation, more than a hundred hikers have lost their lives on the slippery granites of the snow.
This marked hiking trail is demanding but it’s stil enjoyable, if you are in a good shape 🙂 !

If you are a landscapephotographer Orla Perć (Sas-út) will provide you a spectacular panorama, breathtaking scenery, but you have to be really resolut and focused
and you also have to overcome the continous dificulties and time pressure.
The Path
The Eagle’s Path(Sas-út) is located in the middle of the High Tatras – on the polish side – and it connects two passes: Zawrat and Krzyżne.
The total length of the marked road is approx. 4.3 km. The required time to walk on it is approx. 6-8 hours ( depending on the weather and the condition of the path).
During the hiking trip you will be between 2150 m and 2000 m above the see level overcoming several peaks and passes, mostly along the ridge of the mountains. This kind of characteristic gives us the real difficulties (up and down over and over again), but You will have a wonderful panorama for VALLEY OF FIVE POLISH PONDS.
For hikers and climbers a number built-in aids available such as chain, ladder, handrail on most exposed, steep or vertical sections.

A Sas-út (Orla Perć) tekinthető talán az egyik legnagyobb kihívást jelentő és az egyik legszebb, jelzett turistaútnak a Lengyel-Tátrában. Lényegében egy gerinc út csodálatos kilátással a Lengyel- Öt-tó völgyére.
Sas út az egész Tátra egyik legismertebb, legnehezebb és legveszélyesebb jelölt túraútvonalának számít, ezért csak tapasztalt túrázóknak és hegymászóknak ajánlott, akik gyakorlottan mozognak magashegyi környezetben, sziklás, kitett terepen.
Létrehozása óta több mint száz túrázó vesztette életét a csúszós gránit kőzeten.
A Sas-út világ harmadik legveszélyesebb turista útvonala, igen megerőltető, de nagyon élvezetes, ha jó formában vagy.
A csodálatos panoráma a Sas-úton pedig kárpótol a fáradtságért és a közben felhalmozott izzadságcseppekért!
