Lake Blad

Lake Blade (Bled) in Slovenia was made by the Bohinj glacier.

The island in the middle of the Lake Bled is the only island in Slovenia, which is a wonderful place for a sightseeing.

The lake lies in a picturesque environment, surrounded by mountains and forests and of course moraines. In some places the water is 30 meters deep; and it is very popular among divers.

The location

The location is a good starting point for  dayhikes. The Lake Blad is almost always crowded (it’s a gem but not hidden) but within 1-2 hours drive you can reach many spectacular places such as  VINTGAR GORGE, LAKE BOHINJ, THE NADIŽA SPRING, THE PERIČNIK WATERFALL, THE MARTULJEK WATERFALLS,  THE POKLJUKA GORGE,  KOZJAK WATERFALLS, KOBARID, BOVEC, TOLMINKA GORGE – Attractions in Triglav National Park.

Triglav and Mangart

If you are in a good shape and you have a hiking leader, then Mangart and Triglav are also recomended, but I have to mention Triglav is rather two-day hikes than one. In spite of these are really demanding trekking activity but they still atract many visitors throughout the years.

They are little bit more than one hour drive from Bled but it worths the effort.

Forests and brown bears

Slovenia is a country which is rich in forest, after the scandinavian countries it has a prominent place in the world – more than 60% of the country is covered in green forest.

These forest are ideal habitat for numerous animal species  such as the wolf, the Eurasian lynx, and the brown bear. There is an estimated 800-900 European Brown Bears in Slovenia

A Bledi-tó eredetileg egy tektonikus medence volt, amelyet a Bohinj-gleccser mélyített tovább.

A jég később elolvadt és a gleccser vájta völgy helyén egy mélyvízű – van ahol 30m mély – tó maradt.

A tó közepén található sziget egyhatalmas szikla, amelyet a Bohinj gleccser sem tudott az idők folyamán elkoptatni.

The Lakes Gosau

Gosausee (Lakes Gosau)  it islocated in Salzkammergut on the north side of the Dachstein glacier  not to far from Halstatt. Practically 3 lakes in one lines.  In addition, you can easily reach Halstatt, Werfen Castle or Salzburg. The lake  is about 1.8 kilometers length and  500 meters wide.

The hike of the 3 lakes takes approx. 4-5 hours, the distance is around 13 km, the level difference is 350 m up and down.

From the southern shore of the lake, a sign also marks the peak  of the Dachstein, which can be reached in about 5-7 hours on a hard hike if you are a good shape.

The area

The area provide  boundless outdoor free-time activity.

If you prefer hiking, walking, via-ferrata, diving, siteseeing in Halstatt or you are a landscape photographer this is a perfect location for You. You will be hit by wonderful panorama everywhere around Gosausee.

I almost forgot to mention, the area is ski paradise during the winter season.

Gosau – tavak

Gosau – tavak egy kis tengerszem Salzkammergut-ban a Dachstein gleccser északi oldalán, csodálatos panorámával. Az egyik leggyakrabban fotózott hely Dachstein-ben. Nincs messze Halstatt-tól a Warfen kastélytól és Salzburgtól sem. A Gosau-tó,valójában három tó kb. 1.8 km hosszan nyúlnak el, kb. 13 km a kerületük és egy könnyű családi sétával körbe lehet járni néhány óra alatt. A középső tó inkább csak egy mélyedés vízzel és kivágott – nagyon fotogén – fatörzsekkel.

A Gosau-tó déli partján egy tábla jelzi a Dachstein csúcsot, amelyet 5-7 órányi kemény túrával el lehet érni, ha jó formában vagy.

A régió

A régió nagyon sok szabadidős tevékenységet kínál.

Ha szeretsz túrázni, sétálni, ha kipróbálnád a via-ferrata-t, esetleg búvárkodsz, szívesen sétálnál Halstatt szűk utcáin, természet fotós vagy akkor ezt a helyet neked találták ki.

Az egyik (valójában kettő) via-ferrata kiinduló pontja a  Gosau tavak partján van.

A maguk a Gosau tavak az egyik leggyakrabban megörökített (nem csak fotós) téma a régióban.

Amúgy a környék télen síparadicsom.
